Captain D’s
For Captain D’s seafood restaurant, we developed the D-Gulls, two seafood-obsessed seagulls who always try and fail to get a taste of Captain D’s. The campaign launched with traditional media for Captain D’s more traditional audience, but we also created a “behind-the-scenes” video with the D-Gulls for social media.

Food
As the art director, my primary objective was to elevate the appeal of food photography by making it as visually enticing and delectable as possible. In the past, this aspect often fell short, with images that appeared plastic and lacked any appetizing qualities. To rectify this issue and add a touch of sophistication, I devised a novel approach: capturing the food from an overhead perspective. This fresh angle not only showcased the dishes in all their mouthwatering glory but also allowed for more creative compositions.

Photography in-situation
I played a pivotal role in elevating Captain D’s brand, ensuring that each dish was impeccably presented and represented in its finest light. We recognized the importance of maintaining brand consistency throughout these visuals. To achieve this, I carefully curated each shot by incorporating a white wood table backdrop—a subtle yet impactful choice that complemented the brand's aesthetic seamlessly. By implementing these enhancements to their food photography process, we successfully transformed lackluster images into captivating visuals that now enticed customers on a whole new level.
